It may be nearly winter, and in some parts of the United States it’s starting to look that way, but my publisher didn’t want to say good-bye to summer. Instead, they came up with the perfect way to keep summer going throughout the winter with the upcoming release of my new novel for kids, “Layla’s Vistaville Summer.”
Told in first-person through Layla’s diary entries, the book follows Layla as she gets to know her extended family and tries to uncover a mystery left behind by her great-great grandfather.
Layla’s Vistaville Summer will make a great Chanukah present for young readers. The book is rated for third-grade readers, but kids both older and younger will enjoy Layla’s sometimes snarky take on the events around her.
